Associate Spotlight: Brenda Forseth

Festive yet deceptively businesslike—terms to describe one of our newest associates. Brenda Forseth has been a welcome and much-needed addition to the creative services department, using her experience and organizational skills to support the team. It’s hard to rattle Brenda, who will take on any task and get it done. And though she’s a thorough professional, fun lurks just below the surface, waiting for any excuse to break out. Simply put, we like her around here.

What brought you to VistaComm?
Chris Huls and I worked together several years ago at the Argus Leader, and he posted his new position on Facebook! It’s fun to be working with him again.

Where is your hometown?
Sioux Falls.

What have you thought of your time at VistaComm so far?
Impressive! I love the processes and methodical approach to client solutions.

What do you like to do in your free time?
Cook, entertain, spend time with my husband outside, and I try my best to keep up with our 15-year-old daughter!

Who is your favorite fictional character?
I admire Charlie Brown. He is humble and wise beyond his years, and because of that, everyone always rallies around him. And always with a happy ending!

What profession, other than your own, would you like to try?
I would like to try decorating, catering, or party planning.

Desert Island round! If you were stranded on a desert, what would be the:

  • Three movies you would need? Pretty Woman, A Charlie Brown Christmas, and the first Shrek movie
  • Three albums you would need? Fleetwood Mac’s Landslide, anything Celine Deon, and Whitney Houston
  • Two books you would need? Lots of periodicals!
  • One celebrity you would want stranded with you? Why? Oprah—we’d laugh, we’d cry, we’d stay calm, and somehow she’d find a way to fly someone in to save us. We’d write a hit movie about the experience, and then I would be rich enough to buy my own island.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Never go from one room to another without something in your hands.

What are you most looking forward to as a member of the VistaComm team?
I look forward to contributing to a great team!
