Soup and Christmas Spirit

A good story and great soup highlighted the VistaComm Christmas celebrationThe VistaComm staff enjoyed a Christmas treat recently, as Tom Roberts—actor, storyteller, and author—shared stories of the season at a potluck soup luncheon. Staff family members (especially children) were encouraged to attend, and Tom used his amazing storytelling abilities to capture everyone’s attention.

Tom has written three books, ‘Twas the Night Before Christ, Santa’s Prayer, and The Little Lost Sock. All three were written to raise funds for Children’s Home Society (CHS), an organization that provides a variety of essential services for more than 2,000 children ages 4-13 each year—many of whom are victims of abuse and/or neglect. All of the proceeds from Tom’s books are donated to CHS.

VistaComm purchased copies of The Little Lost Sock for every staff member, and Tom took time to sign them after the event. The gathering provided a great opportunity to step back from the busyness of the season and focus on the meaning of Christmas.

We hope you’re able to do the same, and wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

The VistaComm offices will be closed Friday, December 23, Monday, December 26, and Monday, January 2, so that our staff can enjoy the holiday with family and friends.
